Reach Out

The PROGRAM "It's About Change"  was established in 1979 to provide supportive counseling, appropriate programming and advocacy for women when they begin the transition from a restrictive environment back into local communities.

The goal of The PROGRAM "It's About Change" is to provide services to any woman who has had  interaction with the criminal justice system, suffered from a drug or alcohol addiction, experienced homelessness. Staff assisted goal planning provides the client with the available resources to promote a stable family structure and successful route toward

self-sufficiency.

In recent years, The PROGRAM "It's About Change" has began providing services to men involved in the criminal justice system in an effort to reunite the complete family unit. We believe in strengthening families.

In the 1800s the United States begin to incarcerate women in state and federal prisons and institutions throughout the country.  The pictures above create a timeline showcasing the various women who were placed in the institutions. Find out how these pictures relate to the clients we serve by attending our Annual Meeting!
